Health, Pets, and a Roach Mobile

Apparently, birds would prefer you don't take the dog along on your walk... New research shows birds scatter in the presence of dogs, a behavior that could affect mating and nesting behavior.

More research is planned to determine how long the birds stay away. The study is relevant for determining whether dog walks should be prohibited in areas dedicated to conservation and habitat preservation.

Dogs are a blessing when it comes to health. Yet another study shows dog owners are healthier
and walks are thought to be a contributing factor.

Children also benefit when pets are in the home. It is thought they develop healthier immune function as a result of exposure to animals. Kids in homes with pets were less likely to develop asthma or allergies.

Toys for pet lovers.

Have you seen the roach mobile? Fascinating!
