15 million views and climbing. Nora is a heart full. And she has a new honor.
Nora is the ASPCA Cat of 2009. Pawnation says the organization will be handing out 9 other awards on October 29th.
A very cool award is for The Kid of the Year - 11-year-old Monica Plumb - of Powhatan County, Virginia. She launched into action after seeing a news story about a pet who was saved from a house fire through the use of an oxygen pet mask.
The result is PetMask.com - gathering online donations to purchase pet masks for fire departments, and has since purchased more than 50 mask kits for fire stations in nine different states.
And what does that entail? From Monica's site - {Each pet oxygen mask set costs $55 and includes three size; small, medium and large. One set can help revive dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, even birds. I am also purchasing padded emergency equipment cases for $15 to store the mask kits. That makes a complete kit $70 plus shipping, which I also pay for. There is no expense what so ever to the department receiving the mask kits and I do not charge any handling or processing fees.} - How cool is that?
And for the rest of the winning list -- go here.
