Good Vibrations

Knowing personal experience is the best teacher, I experimented with vibrational remedies first. Once I felt their effects within me, I was confident in suggesting them for my clients. Many emotional challenges that confront animals living in a human world respond well to flower essences and gem elixirs.
Remedies are extremely effective in alleviating many fears animals harbor. People’s agendas are the root of many of these. The addition of a new pet, the loss of an animal or person in the family, changing homes, separation anxieties, fears of thunderstorms, fireworks and/or gun shots and car & plane travel are some of the circumstances that improve with the usage of appropriate remedies.

I began adding remedies to assist some animals in embracing their Spiritual Response Therapy clearings more quickly. Being creatures of habit, animals react without thinking. Remedies mellow those reactions allowing them to recognize that they aren’t feeling the negative stressors any longer.
Combining SRT with remedies is a powerful answer for many animals’ intense fears of thunder, fireworks and/or gunshots. My clients and I were astounded with the results obtained. I saw their effectiveness first-hand when my old Lab, Licorice, developed a severe fear of thunder and fireworks late in life; just one of many lessons he taught.

Vibrational remedies possess powerful healing benefits for the body too. I’ve given them to many animals to enhance healing from surgeries and serious injuries. Color therapy is fantastic for promoting rapid physical healing. Depending on the individual, I may suggest combining colors with remedies, which amplify the effectiveness of the color therapy.

Earlier this month, I utilized color therapy for a Golden Retriever that had a tumor removal. Her person reported that her vet said the incision was almost completely healed at 5 days, which is remarkable. Recently, when I fell while jumping Stormy, I used a combination of 3 gem elixirs, which lessened my stiffness and cleared my bruising very quickly. I’m so thankful to the animals for teaching me about the miraculous benefits of Nature’s good vibrations!

Flowers & Gems & Colors, Oh My!

Little did I know studying pharmacognosy, the study of plant drugs, that one day I’d trade my career in pharmacy for a more creative form of healing. While pharmaceuticals work on the chemical level of the body, flower essences, gem elixirs and color therapy affect the electrical system of the body. Without the assistance of the animals I’ve work with, this pharmacist turned animal communicator would’ve never believed it possible.

The vibrations of these unique healers bring the body and subtle energy bodies back into alignment. This allows the needed flow of life force energy through the electrical and circulatory systems resulting in perfect balance. When balance returns much improved health, both emotionally and physically, follows.

When working with Nature’s magnificent healing gifts I connect to the individual’s higher consciousness to be “given” the appropriate flowers, gems or colors required. The results are specific for the challenges being faced; be they physical and/or emotional.

The flower essences and gem elixirs are combined into appropriate solutions, which are given orally according to instructions from the individual’s Higher Self. Most remedies are dosed two or three times daily for two or three weeks. Unlike pharmaceuticals, remedies have no contraindications or adverse reactions. Two caveats are: don’t take them within a half-hour of anything else or mix more than four together; doing either will break down the vibrations thus rendering them ineffective.

While color therapy’s effectiveness is based on the same principle of restoring balance using the frequency, i.e. vibration, of each color, it is accomplished through long-distance healing much like the telepathy involved with animal communication. This method of healing truly challenged my left-brained, scientific persona, but once again my animal teachers came to this skeptic’s rescue.

By connecting with the individual, much as I do when communicating, I “ask” for the appropriate color and then flow it throughout the client’s physical body and energy bodies concentrating specifically on areas of illness or damage. Sessions are normally twice daily utilizing two colors and can require 8 to 14 minutes. Color therapy is extremely effective for promoting rapid healing of the physical body.

I’ll discuss specific examples of vibrational healing next week.

Opossum, Elephant, Squirrel or just plain nuts

There are several of these little lessons... Dental, Gourmet Cooking...etc. Peach is a trooper in each. As for her stage mom, she is fast becoming an internet darling. ... the Opossum fan club is growing.

Do not try this at home. Peach is an exceptionally patient Opossum, with a glowing aura. For more offbeat humor with animal friends ...go here... where you can submit questions to be answered by a (no longer living) squirrel.

Energy Healing - The power of conscious contact

"Healing," Papa would tell me, "is not a science, but the intuitive art of wooing nature." ~ W. H. Auden

What is Energy Medicine?

An Explanation: You heal the body by activating its natural healing energies; you also heal the body by restoring energies that have become weak, disturbed, or out of balance.

There are many words to define and interpretation what it is. And we still don't know much about it. When we view the process with a practitioner and her client, we can get a better understanding of the methods used to practice energy medicine.

Here is a wonderful demonstration of energy medicine in the moment of the exchange and follow ups to see how the results manifest. Apricot the wolf is our teacher. In this demonstration, she is a willing participant, engaging with her caregivers to activate her inner healing energy.

Rather than resisting or trying to block the energy flow, she enters into it and allows that to guide her response. She is a good teacher - showing us how to be receptive to a process that can activate our own recovery when we become injured or are simply out of balance in some fashion.

Thank you very much to the folks at the Earthfire Institute for sharing their insight.

No Joke

Two weeks ago, my column, Please Think First, addressed the extreme heat of summer 2010 and pets. I received numerous comments thanking me for speaking on behalf of the animals regarding this situation. My hope is that those who really needed to hear the animals’ plea read my column.

Hana & Saba, who are used to going everywhere with me, aren’t happy campers this summer. I simply won’t let them accompany me if it’s too hot or too cold. Labradors are people dogs and just want to be with you regardless of their own comfort. While they know they’re missing something fun by staying home, I know they’re safe in the air conditioning.

This past Monday I opened a very sad email from a gal who has one of Hana & Saba’s nephews. Her email asked us all to be careful with our dogs. Apparently her co-worker’s healthy, 6-year-old Lab collapsed Sunday and died of heat stroke later that night at the vet clinic. There weren’t any other details, so I don’t know what kind of activity led up to the collapse. Heat stroke is no joke for animals or people. It is serious business and can be fatal.

The other day as I drove home during the hottest part of the day, I passed two cyclists climbing the mountain road heading in the opposite direction. Across from us, I noticed a herd of cattle huddled under the shady trees, resting. All I thought was, “WHO is the more intelligent species?”

It is our responsibility to keep our pets out of harm’s way. Let’s use our intelligence to shield them from Mother Nature’s weather extremes. I’d rather have two unhappy Labradors heralding my arrival home with tails wagging than happy Labs who are suffering from the intense heat.

Don’t take the effects of extreme heat & humidity for granted for either you or your pet. Heat stroke does kill!

Nature’s Gifts

When it comes to taking care of me, I still fall short. About two weeks ago, I hit the ground twice while jumping Stormy. This hasn’t happened in years. Stormy jumped two different spread fences very uncharacteristically. Knowing Stormy something had to be wrong; something wasn’t allowing him to push off the ground properly.

As I sat in the dirt, Storm stood near looking surprised and confused. Later I asked him why he didn’t leave when he should have. All he said was, “I couldn’t.” I’ve never fallen while jumping him and was concerned his faith in me would be shaken. Two days later, we jumped again with no problem; our trust in each other unscathed.

My equine partner appeared fine, while I was stiff and sore and not recovering as easily as I used to. My secondhand knee started giving me fits a couple of days after. No doubt crawling in and out of the dog crate with the feral kittens for 10 days plus my visits to the ground aggravated it.

While I began topical liniments and Aleve, it took me two days to begin what I would’ve recommended for a client’s animal immediately; vibrational remedies. The vibrations in each remedy act on the body’s electrical system promoting faster healing and a rapid return to balance, homeostasis and wholeness. Years of using flower essences and gem elixirs for my clients has taught me the amazing power of some of Nature’s greatest and most unique gifts.

I mixed together three master healer gem elixirs; aquamarine, silver and turquoise. Within 24 hours, I was much less stiff, my bruises cleared quicker than I expected and my knee has fully recovered. I’ve learned first-hand the superior healing capabilities of Nature’s gifts, so I hope the need to hit the ground is gone. Obviously, I still haven’t completely embraced my “take care of self first” lesson. I promise to work on that, so no more quizzes please! Next week, I’ll discuss another form of vibrational healing - color therapy.
